Companies are interested in Testing in Antarctica

Twelve representatives of the application sphere met yesterday at the Faculty of Science at the round table to learn more about product testing in Antarctica. The possibilities of cooperation with the polar research team and MU trademark for successfully tested products were presented by Pavel Kapler, manager of J. G. Mendel Station in Antarctica, and Jana Daňková, TTO business manager.

At a round table domestic producers of outdoor clothing, impregnation or membrane fabrics were interested in testing their products in Antarctica. Last MU polar expedition has been running pilot projects on testing products seeking Tested in Antarctica trademark, TTO is now preparing the last details to grant the trademark to first products.

Preparation of the next expedition to the icy continent begins immediately after the return of the scientists to the Czech Republic. Larger pieces of cargo, incl. technology or bigger equipment to be tested, is leaving for Antarctica by ship during September.
